Take a walk into Chaoyang Park – Beijing's largest – and you'll eventually happen upon quite the social scene.

On any given day, playing on trusty "Double Fish" tables, are the city's table tennis aficionados.

It's half workout, half socializing as the regulars spend not-so-lazy afternoons and evenings in a series of informal games. (And at least one regular at Chaoyang is in his 80s.)
