Flint's FT Services unit wins $50M contract

CALGARY–Flint Energy Services Ltd. says the company's 50 per cent owned joint venture company, FT Services, has won a $50 million contract to provide turnaround management and execution services to Shell Canada Ltd.'s Scotford oilsands refinery at Fort Saskatchewan, Alta.

FT Services was formed in August 2006 to provide operations and maintenance services to the oil and gas, mining and mineral processing, petrochemical and power generation industries in Canada.

FT is a joint venture between Flint Energy and Transfield Services, an Australian company with more than 29,000 employees in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and elsewhere.
