Police from Toronto's east end are investigating tonight after shots were fired between vehicles on a residential street.

The shots were exchanged on Bellvare Cres., in the Victoria Park and Lawrence Ave. E. area, just before 5 p.m.

The incident involved, "occupants of one car shooting at occupants of another car," said Staff Sgt. Paul Martin of 41 Division.

Both cars fled after the shots were fired, and no injuries have been reported.

A similar incident occurred on Sunday, when at least three shots were fired between cars travelling side-by-side on Martin Grove Rd., in a residential neighbourhood in Toronto's northwest.

Those shots were also fired in daylight, at around 3 p.m.
