A truck that lost its load has closed down the Thickson Rd. ramp leading to the eastbound Highway 401 near Whitby.
The truck was carrying a paving machine that fell off the truck around 9:30 a.m. It has closed down the entire ramp and caused damage to guard rails. A crane was called in to remove the machine. There were no injuries and the guardrails are being repaired, said OPP Const. Sally Stewart.
OPP estimated the ramp would be closed until about 3:30 p.m. but have run into delays and now expect it to remain closed well into the afternoon rush hour
