Three people are dead and an Ontario Provincial Police officer is clinging to life after a suspected gas leak poisoned their Woodstock home.

Const. Laurie Hawkins, community and media relations officer with the Oxford detachment of the OPP, was found unconcious in her home this morning.

She was taken to Woodstock General Hospital, then moved to Toronto General Hospital and treated for carbon monoxide poisoning. She is still in critical condition.

Her husband and two children were also found dead in the home.

The Oxford Community Police, who assisted the OPP in entering the home, are investigating.

Anyone with information on the incident can contact them at 519-537-2323.
