I was disappointed to read the Canadian Idol story today and not see that Collingwood's favourite son, contestant Drew Wright, was not featured. Why single out just the Toronto contestants? The story that Torontonians are not voting for a Canadian Idol is a non story, to say the least.
I wonder if the Star editorial staff understands that those of us living within two hours of Toronto actually buy and read the Star and follow events in Toronto. Check with circulation if you do not understand the importance of the Star in the outlying suburbs.
It wasn't always the true but the green belt created a population "jump" over into communities like Collingwood. Folks in many other small towns around "the big smoke" turn to Toronto for the arts, media and shopping.
You may be called the Toronto Star, but your audience is larger than just Toronto or the GTA. And we all love the amazingly talented group of young people performing on Canadian Idol. Please feature all the contestants. Every vote counts!
