No kidding the Ex is going back in time bringing us torture for "entertainment." Electric prods, spurs and bucking straps (which are cinched tightly around the abdomen and groin) are horribly painful, which is why the horses and bulls buck – they don't do it for fun, they are trying to rid themselves of the torment.

Animals are also often seriously injured or killed – more than 15 horses have been killed in the past five years alone at the Calgary Stampede. Outside the show area, they can be transported for up to 24 hours without being properly fed, watered or unloaded.

Rodeos belong in the past along with all blood "sports." I won't be going to the Ex this year.
