Canada is poised to take the world stage as host of the next Winter Olympics, and anything with the Vancouver 2010 logo – featuring the already familiar Inuit inukshuk and rings – are hot gifts this season.

Sports enthusiasts (and those who believe in the Olympic spirit) will be wearing scarves, toques and sweaters bearing the symbol.

The best part is that any purchase of Official Vancouver 2010 merchandise will support Canada's team, as well as the Games.

For starters, hockey pucks emblazoned with the logo and game mascots, Miga and Sumi, will be fired around icepads from sea to sea, at $13 apiece.

While you're watching those hockey games, be sure to sip your hot chocolate or coffee from a huge 473-ml travel mug at $18. If water is your beverage of choice, you can get the $24 aluminum water bottle (750 ml) with a straw-top lid.

For $100 you can have a men's or women's quilted Thurlow jacket – water- and wind-resistant – in a variety of colours. Olympic knit beanies and scarves are $40.

Official merchandise is now available at Olympic Stores and approved retailers, as well as online at vancouver2010.com.
