Between Commutes

St. Vladimir's, 620 Spadina Ave. Next performance today, 12:30 p.m.

Highly Recommended

A show about commuting? Yes, and good news: it's not like Train 48.

This could have been called Two Actors, Four Chairs to represent the entire cast and set, and it would still be one of the most appealing shows at the Fringe.

In these baker's dozen sketches, David Raitt and Carly Jones use the modern worker as a launching pad for their satiric take on our business and personal lives, what happens on the travels to and from work and home, and everything in between.

As a performer, Raitt is representative of the everyman while being both fiercely committed and funny. Jones is the perfect second banana in some sketches, but an equally bright comic lead – in short, she's a utility player with heaps of versatility.
